This modern pub-restaurant has
updated all the much-loved features of the
traditional Czech pub. One of the giants of
Czech brewing - Pilsner Urquell - stands
behind the concept. Hence the wide choice of Czech beers available: Pilsner Urquell 12% (on tap), Velkopopovický Kozel Černý (dark beer), Radegast Birell (non-alcoholic), Pilsner Urquell 12% tuplák and Velkopopovický Kozel tuplák (both served in large 1 liter mugs). The circular, copper-topped beer altar forms the focus of the
spacious, terracotta and timber interior.
Certificates, awards and historic memorabilia
on the walls attest to a grand brewing history
and keep your attention as you drink and dine.
During the warmer months of the year the
street-side dining allows you to enjoy the
panoramic views of the monumental Square.
The Czech Defense Ministry and several other government facilities are based here. This area was laid out in the 1920-30s as part of a grand master plan with wide Parisian-style avenues.
