Cafés don't come any more historic than this in the Czech Republic.
During the Communist times this was the place where Prague's community of intellectuals, artists and writers would come to meet each other, exchange ideas and plan projects - all culminating in the Velvet
Revolution. The stunning 1930’s Art Deco interior, with it’s dark green marble, wooden panel and famous painting of an Absinth drinker and his vision of a beautiful green maiden creates a wonderful setting.
Its strategic location opposite the National Theatre and the Vltava river provides great panoramic views. If you sit at the front, by the window, you can see as far as Charles Bridge and Prague Castle.
