Square Meal review:

This is a chic and trendy, Italian establishment which seamlessly combines restaurant, ‘Crudo Bar’, lounge and bar settings in a contemporary, open-plan, designer interior. Choose the front tables for selective views to the Vltava river and Charles Bridge. And, in the warmer months, don’t miss the glorious terrace dining. The intriguing Crudo Bar presents itself as you enter, with it’s theatrical display of regional Italian prosciutto, cheese, salami, fresh seafood, lobster, oysters and fish. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting with the staff eager to explain the origins of each item. Guests can combine their own selection here or choose from the menu and watch the Chef at work while they dine. An excellent choice of 360 wines - many served by the glass - accompany the meal. The restaurant menu offers contemporary interpretations of classical and regional Italian dishes - using authentic ingredients. The preparation and presentation is excellent.

Cold Appetisers: Vitello tonnato, anchovies & caper dressing (290Kč). Violet artichokes with mint & Pecorino di Fossa (360Kč). Piedmont beef tartar (390Kč).

Warm Appetisers: Grilled tiger prawns, red peppers & chorizo (390Kč). Mediterranean seafood soup with fregula sarda (380Kč).

Pasta: Lasagna with wild mushrooms & taleggio (320Kč). Fresh tagliatelle with wild boar & pecorino di Pienza (350Kč). Linguine alle vongole veraci (360Kč).

Fish: Pan-fried cod with chickpea puree, guanciale, artichokes (490Kč). Seared halibut with puttanesca sauce (580Kč).

Meat: Roasted chicken breast with lemon, Noto almonds (440Kč). Black pork chop, apple compote, horseradish, pancetta (460Kč). Braised beef cheek in Barbera wine, polenta (480Kč). Scaloppine alla milanese, mashed potato, rucola (560Kč). Grilled yellow fin tuna with eggplant caviar, caponata (630Kč).

Dessert: Baba' Napoletano with limoncello (180Kč). Valrhona chocolate tart with coffee ice cream (180Kč).
