The Municipal House, on the edge of the Old
Town, is one of the most beautiful Art Nouveau
buildings in Europe. Francouzská restaurace, in
the right wing, shimmers as you walk in. Ten gold
chandeliers with a myriad of crystal tentacles float in the air above you at night. The carved, timber finishes and decorative plaster motifs further embelish the interior creating a great sense of occasion. During the day huge windows, facing the Square of the Republic, flood the space with morning light. While at night the gentle piano music wafts through the air.
