This American eatery is something of
an institution in the US. With 459 branches in
44 states and numerous more outlets worldwide - in countries as diverse as Australia, Brazil, England and China. The first restaurant was opened in Clearwater, Florida in 1983 and the original concept has pretty much remained the same to this day. Key features include ‘oldies’ jukebox music, sports television, American menu and a wide range of beers. And, last and certainly not least, there is the additional attraction of the ‘Hotter girls’ - attractive female waiting staff in orange hot pants, white vest and sneakers.
This Prague outlet is the first of it’s kind in the Czech Republic. Housed in a series of cosy, inter-connected, ground floor and cellar spaces, in a fascinating historic building on
the edge of the Old Town. The atmospheric,
stone-walled, barrel-vaulted cellar dates back
to 602 B.H. (Before Hooters). While the
ground floor spaces are divided into separate
smoking and non-smoking rooms, furnished
with timber bench seating and decorated with
humorous, American memorabilia. Guests are
mesmerized by the 15 plasma screens
beaming in live sporting events and music
videos.
