This is a popular, traditional Czech pub, located in the heart of the city - just off Wenceslas Square. During the summer more than a hundred people at a time can sit outside in the chacterful courtyard garden. While in the colder months guests retreat to the warmer confines of the dark-wood, paneled interior. The high ceiling, colouerd glass windows and series of long benches where people are seated recall church settings. However, here people pay homage to the National drink - beer - poured out at the alter, from golden taps into large glasses for the adoring congregation. The Czech beers on tap include Plzeň 12°, Pražské bahno -light 11° and dark 13° beer. The atmosphere perks up on Wednesday and Thursdays when the live band plays. The menu features no-nonsense Czech pub food with hearty portions made with gusto.
