The beer first began to flow here in 1493, a year after Columbus discovered America!
That was over 500 years ago and the world has changed beyond recognition. But within these stone walls, the beer still flows freely, people still huddle around candle-lit tables, recount tall tales and dig into hearty Czech fare.
Every Friday and Saturday night the Medieval musicians put on a lively show.
There is also an atmospheric cellar where guests sit at heavy timber benches - as long as you tip generously, the waiters are sure to let you out.
