What better setting to enjoy authentic Italian cusine than a turn-of-century townhouse in Prague's stylish Vinohrady quarter named after the Kings former Vinyards? The refined, double height interior forms an impressive dining space, making good use of the corner setting to take in light and views. The Italian menu features a good choice of pasta, fish, meat, salads and daily specials - all well prepared with fresh ingredients and generous portions.
The motivated and friendly staff take good care of you ensuring you are well informed of the wines and dishes on offer. No surprise then that this is a popular place with locals who also enjoy their al fresco, street-side dining in the warmer months and gourmet food shop 'Flavours' next door.
Tips from the menu (the menu may differ according to season).
Starter: Tuna tartar with capers - the freshness of Tuna is enhanced by the saltiness of capers and the delicate choice of herbs and spices, giving you a real taste of the sea.
Main course: Calamari in padella - coooked to perfection, with a tender and yet crunchy consistency, delicately seasoned and accompanied with a side dish of fresh vegetable and deliciouse, marinated beetroot slices adding to plate a fragrant feeling of Mediterranean breeze.
Dessert: Panna Cotta with raspberry puré - a classic end to an elegant meal, delicate, fresh and appealing to the eye.
