Two experienced sushi chefs from Japan man the cooking station at this authentic Japanese restaurant so you immedeately know you are in good hands. They nod and smile as they greet each guest to their traditionaly-decorated domain. The snow-white, arched ceiling and walls are offset with the natural colour and grain of natural wooden - crafted benches, suspended bamboo sculpture above the sushi bar. There is seating at ground and atmospheric cellar level, including a traditional tatami room. Spend a moment to enjoy the meticulous still life scene in the small alcove as you descend the luscious red spiral staircase. There is just enough decoration - paper dolls, samurai swords, ornamental bottles - to keep you occupied as you await the culinary works of art. Order the chefs’ unique sushi combinations, sweet-cooked octopus or pork shoulder starters. An exceptional dining experience.
