An intriguing series of interlocking rooms creating a cosy and intimate setting here. Changes in the floor material indicate spaces which used to be part of the hall or courtyard. The main room is a glorious double-height daylit space which allows guest s to dine on an upstairs balcony. Ornate, swirling frescos and turn-of thecentury watercolours, etchings and caricatures embellish the walls, creating a strong sense of history. Even the alcov es are filled with nick-nacks and curiosities such as ceramic ducklings and kitchen utensils. The overall effect is akin to dining in an antique shop or at granny’s cottage. The ambience captures the Little Quarter spirit with its forgotten corners, dark niches and eclectic styles.
