Emperor Rudolf II employed food tasters who sought out the best Prague restaurants that were worthy of a Royal visit. They awarded this establishment an unprecedented three-star award, making it one of the top restaurants of its’ time! That was 450 years ago and to this day the restaurant strives to keep the same high standard - serving fabulous, modern interpretations of Czech cuisine and classic French dishes. The cellars also house an exceptional wine collection, allowing premium wines to be paired with the dishes. The location, around the corner from Charles Bridge and the historic interior, with stunning, original frescos and coloured-glass windows make this one of the most original and characterful interiors of this part of the city. Visiting this establishment is an artistic, culinary and historic experience all at the same time!
